Admission methodology for 2014 general provisions

Academic education within the USAMV Cluj is organized on cycles:

  • 1st cycle – undergraduate studies (full-time, distance learning and part-time learning);
  • 2nd  cycle – master studies (full-time, distance learning and part-time learning);
  • 3rd cycle – doctoral studies (full-time and part-time learning)

The duration of studies within the distance learning, part-time and extra-mural (doctoral) studies, is equal to the period established for the full-time studies. The duration of studies for the undergraduate cycle is 3-6 years, for the master cycle 2 years and for the doctoral cycle is 3-4 years.

Admission is done on domains of academic studies for all the 3 cycles, separately for the forms of education specified (full-time, distance learning, part-time or extramural learning).

Admission is done separately on the seats:

a) funded by the State budget (undergraduate, master and full-time doctoral programs),

 and for the

b) non-budgeted seats (for which one pays tuition fees) (undergraduate, master and full-time doctoral programs, distance learning, part-time and extramural studies);

The seats funded by the State budget are established by a ministerial decision, on the basis of the number of seats approved by the Government’s Decision whereas the non-budgeted seats are established according to university autonomy, by USAMV’s Senate, and are subsequently approved by the MECTS.
